This course introduces the current state of the W3C drafts for HTML5 and CSS3, dedicating special attention to current support in Firefox, Chrome and Internet Explorer.
These new standards have been available for years, making it possible to design interfaces that take advantage of the latest features present in modern browsers while at the same time remaining accessible to Internet Explorer 7 and greater.
During these three days we will review the best practices for web development using the latest standards, reviewing updated techniques and patterns of web design compared with their previous alternatives. This is a very complete course that covers from wireframing and UI patterns to SEO and browser market share, including a detailed description about why IE6 no longer matters.
Important note: Due to time constraints, this course does not include the new javascript capabilities that are part of HTML5 (canvas, SVG, geolocation, etc).
